What is retirement accommodation with care and support?
Retirement accommodation schemes with care and support, sometimes referred to as extra care, create high quality accessible homes for older people aged over 55 and attract customers who are already living in the local area and require more specialist accommodation to meet their personal needs.
This model is especially attractive to those who may need some physical and/or emotional support; and it is also for those who want to live within a community of like-minded people retaining their independence.
The proposed development will include specialist design features to enable residents to live independently in their own homes but with care and wellness services provided as and when required.
